Pick Up a Breakfast Taco (and a Good Book) at Brasil, not far from 3800 Main in Houston

April 10, 2015 | alliance

Just because it's counter service only at Brasil doesn't mean the eatery's fare is casual. To the contrary, the picturesque cafe and restaurant dishes out gourmet bites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's attached right to the Houston bookstore Domy Books, so Brasil is a popular place to grab a latte, something light to eat, and get lost in a good book.

Make the short trip from 3800 Main to Brasil for a taste. In the morning, pancakes scattered with roasted nuts and fruits are in high demand, as are breakfast tacos stuffed with eggs and bacon. Of course, you can also just grab a bagel with some cream cheese and take it with you on your way to work. For lunch, nibble on falafel with tomatoes, tzatziki, and hummus smothered on top or brie and almond with sweet bits of fruit. You can also dig into a full entree, perhaps a pizza strewn with beef and bacon or a juicy burger or a sandwich.
