Every Mexican meal should start with chips and a dip — salsa or guacamole — and it's no different at Irma's, which is located just a short distance from 3800 Main. To quench your thirst while nibbling on the salty chips, sip on a glass of strawberry lemonade, which comes highly recommended. When it's time to order your main course, consider the tender carne asada or the shrimp and spinach enchiladas. End your meal with a sweet treat such as the sopapillas.

Irma's is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. When the Houston Astros play, the restaurant stays open until 7 so guests can grab a bite before the game.
