La Madeleine French Bakery: A Webster Cafe

Though La Madeleine French Bakery is a chain restaurant, each location is charming and serves authentic French fare at affordable prices. The Webster location features a rustic decor that imitates the look of French country shops, complete with a bakery display counter stocked full of colorful, elaborately decorated desserts and pastries.

The lunch menu includes homemade soups and gourmet salads, as well as traditional French croque monsieur sandwiches. Dinner entrees consist of beef bourguignon, savory crepes, and Mediterranean pastas, as well as French fare specialties, like quiche Lorraine. Guests frequently sip brewed espresso drinks with their meals, and the decadent tarts and cakes are a welcome addition at the end of each dinner. If you want a traditional French cafe experience without leaving Texas, La Madeleine is a wonderful choice.

La Madeleine is open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The restaurant also offers take-out in addition to its sit-down dining.

Blast Off at Space Center Houston

People of all ages are interested in the wonders of outer space, and now you can get a close-up look at what it’s really like to live and work in space at Space Center Houston. This is the Official Visitor Center of NASA Johnson Space Center, which means that visitors will get an inside take on what NASA astronauts and scientists are really working on in real time.

The 183,000-square-foot museum and “educational entertainment complex” boasts a staggering 17 million visitors in the time since its opening, and it aims to make learning about science fun for visitors from all around the world and at any age. It contains more than 400 real space artifacts, like moon rocks and lunar samples, as well as other traveling exhibits related to space flight. Visitors can even tour the real NASA Mission Control and take in an educational film at one of the many state-of-the-art theaters.

Space Center Houston: Blast Off Into Hours of Educational Fun

For outer space enthusiasts young and old, there might not be a greater experience than visiting Space Center Houston. Since 1992, Space Center Houston has been one of the top attractions in the city, drawing more than 16 million visitors to its unique, educational complex.

This fun-filled attraction makes learning about space fun and realistic through its 250 space artifacts, state-of-the-art theaters, and interactive exhibits that offer a way to experience the thrill of outer space.
