Enjoy the Signature Catfish Filet at Sudie’s

Sudie's is a family-owned chain that got its start in Pasadena, Texas, in 1983 and has grown steadily in the intervening decades, mostly on the strength of its excellent seafood dishes.

Catfish is the order of the day here at Sudie’s, but there are plenty of other menu options that win raves. Start your meal with the delicious fried pickle chips, which are breaded perfectly. The Cajun boiled crawfish is also a popular appetizer. Moving on to entrees, the blackened catfish is a great way to try Sudie's signature fish, as the seasoning blend wins rave reviews. Other popular main courses include the Magnolia seafood pasta, which pairs catfish and shrimp with fettuccine and a cream sauce, as well as the Tupelo chicken served with crabmeat. A regularly-changing specials board features a variety of fresh catch.

Prices are very reasonable, portions are generous, and service is quick and attentive.

Expect More Than Just Catfish at Sudie’s

Sudie's in League City is a chain of family-owned restaurants offering seafood and Southern dishes. After opening its first location in 1983, Sudie's became a local favorite, serving all-you-can-eat catfish, which is the eatery's staple. The League City location opened in 2003, and it now serves more than just catfish. It offers a new fish of the day as well as Southern favorites, such as chicken fried steak.

Other good bets are the crawfish, as well as the beans, described by regulars as smoky and delicious. The chicken fried steak receives two thumbs up from regulars, and hamburgers appeal to landlubbers, too.

Sudie's League City location is open Sundays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Lunch specials are offered on weekdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
