June 7, 2016 | trioonline
Enjoy a bite to eat, then browse for a book at Atticus Bookstore Cafe. This full service restaurant adjacent to a small bookstore offers a simple menu of breakfast plates, baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and soups. Its a busy place during lunch, but many customers love the soup and sandwich combo. In addition to their signature black bean, they have two homemade soups daily, and a variety of tasty sandwiches. Regulars recommend the grilled artichoke, or the roast beef and kimchi. You can’t bring unpaid merchandise into the cafe, but the independent bookstore has a decent selection of popular and recommended titles from all genres. Those that enjoy browsing love the stationery and cards sold at Atticus.
If you’re in the area and need a quick caffeine fix, to-go coffee is only $1 – just have it in cash as there's a $3 minimum purchase for credit cards.
