Morocco's Restaurant is a family-owned restaurant in the heart of Silicon Valley that offers a truly authentic taste of Morocco. With exceptionally large portions during the “grand meal” lunch (a tradition in many Moroccan households), this casual eatery is a great lunch spot near Brookside Park.

On your first visit be sure to try at least one tagine, a slowly braised stew cooked inside of a clay pot. If you're stuck, try the chicken tagine that is flavored with saffron, turmeric, and white pepper and served with olives and homemade preserved lemons. Not too hungry? Happy hour is everyday from 4 to 6 p.m., and it includes specials on drinks and small food plates.

Even if you don’t come for dishes like shrimp pil-pil, chicken kabobs or grilled platters, the entertainment and dessert are well worth the trip, according to experienced locals.
