Take Your Daily Exercise Outdoors at the Stevens Creek Trail

Ask a Mountain View local about Stevens Creek Trail, and you're likely to hear that it's one of the best trail networks around. It runs from Shoreline to Dale-Heatherstone, which means you’ll find about five miles of trail, all of which are paved for smooth walking, running, and cycling.

Depending on where you enter and exit the trail, you could find yourself exploring some of the region's unique tidal marshes, wandering through city neighborhoods, or enjoying the shade in one of the park's woodland areas. You'll also find a few pretty spectacular man-made features on the trail, like the 350-foot pedestrian overpass that takes you directly over Highway 237, and the quarter-mile bridge that allows you to look down on Central Expressway and the Caltrain tracks below. The park is popular with families out for a stroll, joggers getting in their daily workout, and dog owners who want to give Fido a bit of exercise.
