If you’ve ever happened upon the Independence Ave Coffee truck, perhaps you know Kelvin, the contagiously happy owner and barista serving up freshly brewed coffee and espresso drinks. If you haven’t, it’s time to get acquainted. The truck was set up on Charleston Road, with plans to move to Bernardo Avenue (check their Facebook for an up-to-date location). Even if you have to go a bit out of your way, the specialties at Independence Ave Coffee are well worth the trip.

You can expect a small menu of the normal coffee drinks, as well as brewed coffee for a reasonable $2.50 per cup. The Vietnamese iced coffee is a particularly popular choice, or treat yourself to a delicious French pastry. The personal service will make you feel like you’re getting coffee from a friend instead of a coffee shop.
