Palo Alto’s Sundance the Steakhouse has been a local institution since it opened in 1974, but you can rest assured that this eatery is not simply coasting on its reputation. Whether you’re planning an important client meeting, a romantic evening for two, or a private event, plenty of locals say Sundance should be at the top of your list, thanks to its classic steakhouse favorites. 

To start your meal, regulars recommend the filet mignon spring roll appetizer or a cup of the kitchen’s award-winning New England clam chowder.
