Just a few steps from the Sunnyvale Caltrain station and the Plaza del Sol you can find fresh and authentic Turkish cuisine. T.B. Mezze opened in late 2017 to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Head chef Mursel Karatas came to Sunnyvale after a decade-long stint as executive chef of a celebrated restaurant in the Turkish port city of Marmaris, and today Karatas’ lunch and dinner menus feature a selection of small plates designed to be shared with the table.

If you visit with a large party you can order a wide selection of appetizers and small plates. Yelpers recommend the octopus salad, spicy ezme, and hummus. If you’re with a smaller party, the combo mezze platter can be a good choice that allows you to sample various dishes. Customer favorites include lamb kebabs, roasted sea bass, and vegetable moussaka. Finish your meal the traditional way, with a cup of steaming hot Turkish coffee, or choose from a well-curated selection of wines and spirits.
