This Sunday at the Winspear Opera House: Paul Simon!
May 5, 2016 | crestmarc
Home to the Dallas Opera, the Winspear Opera house is a 21st-century take on the traditional opera house. From the moment you enter, you’re sure to be wowed by the grandiose modern chandelier, the wood floors, and the comfy cushioned seats. The venue holds over 2,000 people on four tiers of seating, and according to many reviewers, the acoustics are so flawless that there is not a bad seat in the house.
The Winspear Opera House plays host to a vast array of productions, from big-name music acts to classic theatrical productions. This weekend, for example, will see a performance by legendary musician Paul Simon. He'll take the stage at 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, just in time to wow local moms and caregivers for Mother's Day.
While you enjoy the show, grab some snacks and beverages at the concessions areas. Or if you want to come a little early, try out the Supper Club, a mouthwatering three-course meal by Wolfgang Puck Catering right next to the opera house for a pre-show meal experience. Be sure to make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance as walk-ins are not accepted.
