Whether you’re looking for a new lunch spot or a place to pick up your produce for the week, the Dallas Farmers Market has a little bit of it all. And better still, it's a mere half-mile away from Butler Brothers Building!
First time visiting the Dallas Farmers Market? Here's what you need to know: The venue is broken down into two sectors, The Market and The Shed. Recently reopened after a full renovation, The Market is a self-described “food hall” that's home to merchants Monday through Sunday. The merchants and vendors serve up everything from tacos to tamales, Cajun to Chinese, baked goods to bacon. And get this: Local brewer Noble Rey Brewing Co. will debut a mini taproom at the market this summer!
The Shed, open only Friday through Sunday, is more what you think of when you think a typical farmers market. Vendors come in to this open-air market from local farms to sell their freshest and most recently harvested crops. Selection ranges from veggies to fruits, jarred sauces, meats, cheeses, and more.
