Shiloh Regional Park: Horses Welcome
April 21, 2015 | sack
Don't be startled if you see a horse and rider moseying along the trails at Shiloh Regional Park. After all, the 850-acre park used to be a ranch, so its wide trails draw equestrians from all over the region.
But even without a trusty steed, you can still enjoy the natural splendor of the park. It boasts a total of 7.9 miles of trails, more than three of which are perfect for a challenging hike. Regular visitors note that the trails are especially good for biking, and large grassy areas are available for picnics afterwards. Although dogs aren't allowed on the trails, they are invited to enjoy the picnic spots while you eat. That means they can run around the lawn, sniff at the gazebo, or stalk the barbecue grill while lunch sizzles.
