Celebrate Summer at the Petaluma Music Festival
July 31, 2015 | sack
2015 marks the eighth year that the Petaluma Music Festival has taken over the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds, which are only about a 10-minute drive from Capri Creek. Like years past, this summer it brings both local and nationally renowned musicians to the festival stage, beginning with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy on Friday.
Saturday is when most of the fun unfolds, however. Artists will be entertaining crowds all day. The lineup includes ALO, The Wood Brothers, and Nahko and Medicine for the People. You can meet the artists after their sets, too, at the meet-and-greet booth. While you enjoy the eclectic tunes, sip a brew from the Lagunitas Brewing Company and chow down on food from the many vendors who show up for the event. You can also partake in the silent auction. Know that your money goes toward a good cause: Petaluma public schools' music programs.
