There’s nothing like spending an afternoon at a carnival, especially if you’re attending it for a good cause. Remember how much fun you’d have at school fundraising carnivals when you were a kid? Now you can recreate that feeling at the Carnival for the Carousel Fund on Sept.19.

There are plenty of Petaluma families in need, particularly ones with children who are facing life-threatening illnesses, and the Carnival for the Carousel Fund was designed to help raise money for them. This family-friendly event is happening a mere two miles away from Capri Creek, and you can spend your day reliving your past carnival fun days. Play traditional carnival games, dabble in some sports, participate in the raffle, or just enjoy some delicious food.

The event will be on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individual tickets are $10 per person if purchased early, and $15 per person the day of the carnival. Families can pay a special discounted rate of $25 ahead of time, or for $30 at the door.
