Highly regarded as one of the top restaurants in Petaluma, and not far from Capri Creek, Cucina Paradiso offers authentic, traditional Italian food in a lovely setting. Everything here is made from scratch, from the breads to the pasta to the desserts, and the chef chooses the best ingredients for the dishes, including only organic vegetables.

Some recommended entrees are the gnocchi gorgonzola e noci, which is simply gnocchi in a creamy gorgonzola walnut sauce, as well as the fettucine con gamberi e rucola, aka shrimp over fettucine. Wines from both Italy and Sonoma County are on the extensive drink menu, and there is a fully stocked bar with seating, as well. You may want to sit in the dining room, though. It has the feel of a rustic, romantic Italian villa. For extra ambiance, there’s also outdoor seating with a view of the Petaluma River. Be sure to make a reservation at Cucina Paridiso since the tables here fill up fast.
