Joanie’s Café has the wonderfully comfortable feel of a local diner, but with a classier menu sure to please the foodie community. They serve breakfast and lunch, and specialize in classic American dishes with a unique French flare.

Breakfasts range from the traditional eggs and griddle medleys, to crepes stuffed with everything from smoked salmon to brie cheese. You can also see the heavy French influence in their lunch dishes, with uncommon diner fare like Steak Frites and Chicken Milanese. Joanie’s Café also does five different types of burgers complete with all the fixings, and a variety of hot sandwiches and cool salads that are filling and delicious. You could also make a lunch of the French Onion Soup alone; it has a deeply savory broth with a Swiss cheese and crostini topping that will transport you to the French countryside.

Joanie’s Café is open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., and has plenty of parking nearby their location on South California Avenue.
