Find Bold New Mexican Cuisine at Sun of Wolf

August 22, 2018 | sack

The next time you find yourself craving some fresh, bold New Mexican-style cuisine, consider heading down to Sun of Wolf. This Palo Alto restaurant is locally famous for its house-made huitlacoche tortillas filled with duck confit, avocado puree, and flor de jamaica gastrique.

Not in the mood for tacos? No worries. The menu also includes dishes like deep dish lasagna filled with sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and wild mushrooms, as well as entre-sized orders of creamy golden macaroni and cheese, dusted with brioche crumbs on top. The restaurant itself is full of natural light thanks to a couple of well-placed skylights and eclectic decor (check out the collection of vintage amber chandeliers hanging from the ceiling). Regulars say the staff is great, too, so you can expect to sit back and enjoy your meal in the fun, friendly atmosphere.
