Housed in a 150-year-old building, Della Fattoria Downtown Café is a Petaluma bakery and eatery famous for features such as their Meyer lemon rosemary bread and honey lavender lattes. In addition, the menu includes breakfast items, salads, pastries, and toasty sandwiches. The bread is specially made with fine ingredients like organic flours, Brittany sea salt, local extra virgin olive oils, and, instead of commercial yeast, a natural starter featuring the family’s Petaluma ranch-grown grapes. Try the Tuna Melt Piadina topped with wild albacore tuna, cheddar cheese, tart pepperoncini, and arugula on Della Pizza Dough cooked golden in a cast iron skillet.
Della Fattoria has also begun offering dinner every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The simple menu includes a handful of appetizers as well as several main dishes, such as stuffed pork loin, chicken pot pie, and creamy polenta with farmer’s market vegetables.
