Find Authentic Italian Fare at Risibisi Restaurant

Why has Risibisi, the classic Italian trattoria in downtown Petaluma, been recognized by international critics and locals alike as one of Sonoma County’s best restaurants? The food, of course, has to be first on the list. Owner Marco Palmieri, a native of Trieste, Italy, and executive chef Giliuana Valesi, who was raised in Tuscany, both have intimate, first-hand knowledge of Italian cuisine.
Signature dishes on the menu include the wild boar gnocchi, pumpkin ravioli, and lamb shank with saffron risotto — all good examples of Risibisi’s commitment to authentic, hearty, family-style Italian dining. The ingredients are all seasonal and sustainably sourced from the area around Petaluma, and the wine list is impressive by any measure. In addition to the food the service, ambiance, and decor all draw high marks from regular visitors. The dining room is intimate, and with only 72 seats available, it’s definitely best to make a dinner reservation ahead of time.
