Sample Fine Wines and Fresh Sandwiches at Della Fattoria Downtown Cafe

The owners of Della Fattoria Downtown Cafe, Edmund and Kathleen Weber, didn’t anticipate that things would get this far when they built their first wood-fired oven outside of their kitchen door. But more than twenty years later, not only are the Webers known all over Sonoma County for the quality of their artisan breads and pastries, they also operate a successful cafe in downtown Petaluma.
Housed in a building that was originally a 19th-century bakery, the elegantly decorated cafe is open for breakfast and lunch all week long. Start your day with a rustic toastie and poached egg, or visit during the noon hour and enjoy a sandwich made on freshly-baked bread with spring greens on the side. On Friday nights the cafe stays open late, and you’ll find regulars stopping by to sample a few glasses from the carefully curated wine list, along with a bite of something sweet.
