Wishbone Serves Farm-to-Table Fare
April 11, 2018 | sack
Located just north of downtown Petaluma, Wishbone is a charming 36-seat restaurant specializing in sophisticated diner fare with lots of local ingredients and updated presentations. Owners Miriam Donaldson and Josh Norwitt raise their own beef on their Tilted Ranch farm, in addition to pickling the veggies, baking bread from scratch, and mixing up classy cocktails.
The half-chicken is a popular choice, which is roasted in duck fat for extra crispy skin, drizzled in a black pepper sauce, and served with garlicky croutons, lemon rosemary potatoes, and herbed vegetables. Another favorite is the Tilted Ranch Beef Bolognese with house-made pasta, basil, and parmesan cheese.
Enjoy your meal at one of the mismatched wooden seats in a back nook or the side dining room, or at the counter with a view of the partially open kitchen. The restaurant has a charming bohemian vibe with weathered furniture and vintage schoolhouse design elements. If you see a favorite record in the eatery’s vinyl collection, you’re welcome to play it on the retro turntable. Visit Wishbone Wednesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner.
