There are also a lot of new selections like the Battuto with pesto and sausage, the Green Goat with goat cheese and arugula, or the San Giovanni with smoked mozzarella and prosciutto.   • Invest in new workout gear. If your sneakers from last season have seen better days, invest in a brand-new pair that will get you excited to exercise.

Ride and Hike at Carousel Park and Equestrian Center

Whether you're just looking to go for a hike or want to learn how to ride a horse, you can accomplish your goal at Carousel Park and Equestrian Center. The Wilmington park sprawls across 217 acres of flourishing nature, filled with emerald meadows and sparkling blue ponds. Miles and miles of paths wind throughout the woods, offering a serene spot to collect your thoughts or chat with a friend.

If you're interested in the equestrian part of the park, head to the center and take a horseback-riding lesson or just go for a tour of the barn. You can also BYOhorse and set out on the cross-country trail, which will teach your steed how to safely navigate different types of terrain. The Equestrian Center even hosts "pony parties" every autumn Saturday and Sunday, when your little ones can come take a spin on a smaller steed.

Bugaboo Creek Steak House: A Taste of the North

Patterned after a rustic mountain lodge, Bugaboo Creek Steak House is the place to go for terrific food and drink for families and friends. Clear the Air With These Air-Purifying Houseplants

You might think that, in order to breathe truly clean air inside, you'll have to invest in an expensive air purification system, but that's not so. There are many houseplants that eradicate airborne toxins, and you can pick them up at any major home improvement store. Here are just four of them.

  1. English ivy. According to the scientists at NASA, there's no plant better at purifying the air than English ivy. It helps soak up any formaldehyde that could be floating around in your air, and you definitely don't want to be inhaling the stuff. Plus, it's almost impossible to kill them.
  2. Peace lily. The peace lily may be beautiful, but beauty can be deceiving. Don't fall for its game; this is actually a powerful plant. Harmful chemicals like xylene, ammonia, formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene will all decrease in your air when a peace lily blooms nearby.
  3. Red-Edged Dracaena. Named for the strips of bright red that run along the edges of its thin, long leaves, the Red-edged Dracaena is more than just a pretty plant. It also gets rid of xylene, trichloroethylene, and formaldehyde when you feed it enough sunlight.
  4. Golden pothos. If you really want to make a statement with your new houseplant, consider buying a hanging pot for the golden pothos. When positioned properly, its leaves will snake their way down to the floor in beautiful vines.

Arcade Games Meet 1980s Pop Culture at 1984 in Wilmington

Whether you're old enough to remember the year 1984 or young enough that you have to rely solely on television and movies, anyone who can appreciate 1980s nostalgia will have a blast at 1984, a popular Wilmington bar.
