In the spring of 2017, the Sea Turtle Recovery exhibit is slated to debut at the South Carolina Aquarium Turtle Trek. It'll give guests a firsthand look at the journey that local turtles take when they're rescued by the aquarium's staff, nursed back to health, and released back into the wild. If you want to support this exhibit, join in the 2016 South Carolina Aquarium Turtle Trek.

The 5K run will take place at sunset along the beach at the Isle of Palms County Park, and proceeds from your registration will help fund the Sea Turtle Recovery exhibit as well as the other rescue efforts of the South Carolina Aquarium Turtle Trek. There will be an after party for participants at the Windjammer as well as an awards ceremony, so stick around after the race for more fun.
