In a city with a history as rich as Charleston, there's no shortage of learning to be done, especially if you love delving deeper into the past. That's why the Preservation Society of Charleston hosts such a huge array of different tours all throughout the fall. In fact, this is the 40th year that its staff has done so.
The tours take place in different parts of the city and cover various aspects of its history, so there should be one to suit every type of history buff. As the leaves begin to change and the crowds of tourists dwindle, start to explore your city via one of these engaging tours. Some of them are self-guided, whereas others are led by experts. You can even take part in a Living History Lunch Lecture or take an Up Close and Personal tour, which gets you behind the scenes of some of Charleston's most historic spots.
