Food trucks are the no-nonsense approach for chefs looking to break into the culinary scene in cities across the nation. They tend to be less expensive to run than brick-and-mortar restaurants, which allows culinary creatives to focus on the food first, which is a great thing for all of us. These restaurants on wheels are no longer just for your average hot dogs or hamburgers. Now, chefs are taking chances and turning diners on to new flavor combinations and cuisines—and making a name for themselves while doing it. With so much innovation going on in this field, it makes an event like January 28th’s Charleston Food Truck Festival one that you shouldn’t miss.

This delicious festival will take place at Lowcountry Local First, located on Meeting Street in Charleston. There will be a variety of cuisines available to choose from here, so come hungry. It’s bound to be an excellent time.
