Pozzuoli Winery – From The Vine

Pozzuoli Winery produces around five hundred cases of wine every year. For an $8 tasting fee anyone stopping through can try five Paso Robles wine samples, about two ounces per sample. The fee is waived if a visitor decides to purchase a bottle, all of which are fairly inexpensive. Italian appetizers cooked on-site are available as well. While the tasting room is on the small side, the staff and owners are clearly committed both to excellent taste and an enjoyable atmosphere for wine enthusiasts both new and veteran. Olive oil is also created and harvested here, and even available for sampling. You can make reservations online at Pozzuoli’s website, which also regularly updates its event listings and has a form where you can sign up to join the wine club with benefits like discounts and a complimentary tasting.

Roy’s: A Taste Of The Hawaiian Islands

Hawaiian food can be a hard thing to come across outside of the islands, which is quite a shame—the unique fusion of cultures in America’s fiftieth state has produced some very unique cuisine. Chef Roy Yamaguchi is a master of that food, and shows it off at his chain of restaurants. Stop in at either of Roy’s two locations for a taste of this fusion and more. High-quality ingredients are prepared in a wide number of innovative dishes that will please the palate and not leave you too full. Regulars go ape about the Hawaiian style soy miso-glazed fish dishes, which are tender and incredibly flavorful. For carnivores, the baby back ribs draw raves. Roy’s also offers an innovative sushi menu, with unique rolls exploring the mixed cuisines of the Hawaiian Islands. Dessert lovers all agree that you shouldn’t leave before sampling the decadent chocolate soufflé.
