Superburger: Home to the ‘Best Chili Cheeseburger in Sonoma County’
September 23, 2014 | sack
Santa Rosa’s Superburger started out as a Dog-E-Diner in the 1950s before changing its name in 1978. The eatery changed ownership in 2007, but the draw at Superburger remains the same: hand-shaped beef patties slathered with crave-worthy toppings and condiments that win raves from locals.
All of the restaurant’s beef is freshly ground daily by a local butcher, and patties are made with a touch of Superburger's house special barbecue sauce for a little extra zing. As for what receives the highest reviews from regulars, Superburger’s self-proclaimed “best chili cheeseburger in Sonoma County” is a true contender, heaped high with zesty chili, cheese, and onions. The specialty burgers are also worth a try. Go for the Montecito Avenue, which pairs smoked bacon with pepperjack cheese and guacamole. For sides, opt for the house pineapple coleslaw for a sweet and tart counterpoint to your burger.
