Cooperage Brewing Company: A Passion Project Sure to Deliver!
August 19, 2015 | sack
A long-time dream of owner and master brewer Tyler Smith, Cooperage Brewing Company finally opened in June, about 10 minutes away from Creekside Park. After brewing his own beer in his garage for over a decade, Smith has developed a wide range of ale flavors that are modeled after the lambic producers of Belgium. He’s currently waiting on his favorite sour and aged-barrel beers to finish fermenting, but in the meantime there are light, hoppy beers on tap as well as heavier porters and stouts.
The space is dog-friendly, and there are tons of games to play like Jenga and Cornhole. There are light snacks available and guests are welcome to bring in their own food. Local food trucks pull up from time to time, too. The bartenders heighten the fun atmosphere with their relaxed but attentive demeanors. Cooperage Brewing is worth trying now for the summer ales, and future trips for the sour beers to come!
