Located in downtown Santa Rosa, Bird and the Bottle offers satisfying new American cuisine, friendly service, and a comfortable environment. This new eatery (it just opened last month!) is less than a mile from Creekside Park, so it would be a snap for you to check out its inventive menu for yourself.

And by inventive, we mean options such as schmears. Anyone who enjoys bagels knows that a schmear is a swipe of cream cheese applied to your bagel. The schmears here are slightly elevated — they include chicken liver mousse, poached eggplant, and smoked duck egg that you can spread onto grilled pumpernickel rye bread.

You can also try one of several small plates, like grilled octopus, chicken fried oysters, or grilled radicchio. Large plates include wood grilled whole fish, certified Angus beef skirt steak, and eight hour-smoked pork shoulder. Give it a try to see what all of the fuss is about!
