In recent years, the United States has seen an increase in the spread of knowledge of how farm-produced foods are raised and maintained; more people show an interest in the fascinating processes of growth and fermentation now more than ever. The Farm to Fermentation Festival of Santa Rosa is coming on Saturday, August 27 to teach residents of the city and surrounding areas just how these processes work.
Sonoma County’s Annual Fermentation Extravaganza is a renowned event where guests are able to join local fermenters, food producers, authors, and experts for a day of tasting and learning. Patrons will be able to listen to a number of knowledgeable speakers, including keynote speaker Kombucha Mamma Hannah Crum, and even learn to ferment at home and discover why fermented foods and beverages are a vital part of our diets.
The Farm to Fermentation Festival will take over the Finley Community Center starting at 11:00 a.m. sharp. Tickets are available online, and guests can even upgrade their tickets to VIP Passes and sip cider, mead, beer, and wine from some of California’s best craft producers.
