Try the Pollo al Horno at El Coqui

According to the legendary chef and TV-famous food critic Guy Fieri, a meal at El Coqui is "like hanging out in Old San Juan." That’s high praise for the kitchen team, given that their main goal is to recreate authentic Puerto Rican fare in Santa Rosa. If Guy Fieri and El Coqui’s 800-plus Yelp reviews are to be believed, they do so flawlessly.
Regulars’ favorite dish, by far, is the pollo al horno. It’s a relatively simple combination of chicken thighs baked in a house-made blend of seasonings, bell peppers, and cilantro. However, this handful of ingredient imparts a delicious flavor, and the meat is super tender. The menu also includes classics like the pork chuletas, thin-cut pork chops that are perfectly pan-fried. If you’re feeling really adventurous, devour the canoas con carne molida, a sweet plantain packed with seasoned ground beef and embellished with lots of gooey Monterey jack cheese.
