March 19, 2019 | sack

East Wind Bakery, located on Sebastopol Road, is an Asian bakery featuring international specialties like kimchi and Chinese sausage-stuffed croissants, garam masala sweet buns, Thai chicken potpies, pork banh mi, and more. Order the Japanese delicacy, milk bread, which is perfect for toast, sandwiches, or simply nibbling from the bag. The soft, sweet loaf is flecked with bits of Earl Grey tea, herbs, or cinnamon for about $5 for a loaf. Don’t miss out on the Sea Foam coffee (made with a sweet-salty whipped cream, Asian spices, and coffee) or boba tea. The bakery also offers an array of Western favorites including cupcakes, tarts, pies, and cakes.

For those interested in lunch, East Wind offers basmati rice bowls with savory toppings like lemon grass chicken, Moroccan ginger and cinnamon beef, and BBQ pork, plus an array of soup options. Visit East Wind Bakery Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
