Russian River Brewing Company: Sip One of the Starring IPAs
September 4, 2015 | sack
For craft beer lovers, Russian River Brewing Company is an institution in Santa Rosa. It's racked up nearly 2,000 glowing Yelp reviews in the time since it opened. And since it resides only half a mile away from Creekside Park, it would be easy to stop by here to sip one of the house brews.
Although the brewery is constantly rolling out new seasonal suds, the brews crafted year-round take the cake for most customers. Many patrons sing the praises of Pliny the Elder, a double IPA tinged with citrus, pine, and floral aromas. The IPA tastes best when it's fresh from the brew room, so it's only bottled in small batches at a time. The Blind Pig IPA is another favorite among regular customers, but you can get this one by the bottle or the draft at Russian River Brewing (and other bars and stores around the area). Soak up your chosen brew with something from the food menu, such as the popular Pliny Bites. They're crafted from pizza dough steeped in the Pliny IPA and stuffed with jalapenos and white cheddar cheese.
