Heirloom Tomatoes Take the Spotlight at the Annual Kendall-Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival This Weekend!
September 23, 2015 | sack
It’s prime tomato season in California, and the veggie gets its very own festival as the Kendall-Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival returns to the Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate and Vineyards on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The festival celebrates the 150-plus varieties of heirloom tomatoes that are grown in the area. Throughout the day, you can enjoy tomato tastings, garden tours, wine and food tastings, wine seminars, a chef's challenge competition and garden seminars. Local chefs will also create tomato-centric bites in hopes of being named the winner of the critic’s choice award. Grammy-nominated musician Andre Thierry will serenade the crowd.
General admission tickets are still available for $95 a pop. Tickets include an event glass, wine tasting tickets, and food samples. For those looking to try more wine, additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase.
The festival is happening only 10 minutes from Creekside Park.
