Admire Stunning Views of Santa Rosa at Annadel State Park
April 30, 2016 | sack
Annadel State Park sits north of San Francisco on the eastern edge of Santa Rosa. Outdoor enthusiasts will find trails for biking, hiking, and trail riding when the weather is too beautiful to stay indoors, as this park is open from 8 a.m. until sunset.
Locals say that the trails are much steeper than they appear on this challenging hike, so be sure to bring plenty of water. Rest areas provide optimum space for taking a break or enjoying a family picnic. If you're an avid mountain biker, you'll have access to these challenging hills as well. While horses are allowed on the trails dogs are not; however, you can walk along Channel Drive within the park with your leashed pooch.
Fishermen will also love having access to Fishing Lake Ilsanjo, which has black bass and bluegill swimming in it. Reports claim that fishers occasionally catch black bass weighing up to nine pounds!
