While on vacation it can be easy to just take a break from your workout routine, but you don’t have to give it up. Working out, even for a short period of time, can help prevent the inevitable weight gain while on a trip. Follow these easy tips for working out on vacation.

Make Working Out a Priority
At home you probably stick to a normal routine. Figure out a similar routine to follow while traveling. If you think of working out as a priority it will be easier to incorporate it into your schedule. You have to make a conscious effort to stay active.

Stay Active
Stop taking taxis everywhere and walk! You’ll be able to see more of the place you’re visiting and keep moving. You’d be surprised how just walking around the city can help offset all the calories you’re eating in vacation food.

Bring Some Equipment
If your hotel has a gym, great! But that might not always be the case. If you can, bring some light equipment like a a jump rope or resistant band. Use them for a quick cardio and strength training workout. If you have your laptop or tablet you can even access free workouts online that don’t require any equipment.
