Calling All Area Duffers: Tee Off at Spring Creek Golf Course

April 5, 2016 | desouzabrown

Grab your clubs and head to Spring Creek Golf Course for a fun, 9-hole, par 33 course in Hershey. The course, which first debuted way back in 1923, was ranked Pennsylvania’s second “Best Short Course” by Golf Digest in 2013. The course is an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, kept to preserve the nature and environment surrounding the area.

Fun fact: Spring Creek was the first course in the country to allow golfers under 18 to enjoy the course—even today the course is very family friendly. The Family Fore package offers nine holes, club rental, and snacks for four. The green fees have increased from the mere $0.32 charged when it was built in the '20s, but they are still affordable: The Family Fore package costs $100.

The course also offers other programs like a women’s league, men’s league, and the newly popular sport “FootGolf.” And the scent of chocolate follows you around the trail, which anyone can appreciate!
