Add a Visit to Indian Echo Caverns to Your Summer Bucket List

You’ll feel as if you’ve entered outer space the moment you visit Indian Echo Caverns, a hidden gem in Hummelstown. Many describe these caverns as their very own “diamond-in-the-rough”. Off the beaten path just a couple miles from Hershey, these caves are very different than the amusement park around the corner. Instead of rides and games, these caverns play host to some of the coolest natural wonders in the Northeastern United States.

A guide will take you on a tour through the caves to see all of the stalactites and stalagmites and the various underground crystal-clear ponds. The guide may even ask you to turn your flashlight off so you can see just how dark it is down there (hint: pitch black!). Do note that there are a fair amount of steps you need to climb to get down into the caves and back out, so you’ll surely get your workout, but it is worth it for what you get to see below.

Once you’re done with the tour, take advantage of the petting zoo, gift shop, and playground right on site!
