Summer’s Not Complete Without a Visit to Harrisburg City Island!

July 27, 2016 | desouzabrown

Baseball fans might know Harrisburg City Island as the home of FNB Field and the Harrisburg Senators, but that's not all you'll find here! Besides a place to root for the home team, City Island is a beloved local destination for summer fun.

Measuring in at 63 acres, the island—which rises from the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg—offers everything from batting cages, mini-golf, and arcade games to paddleboat and horse-drawn carriage rides! There's also a beach and picnic pavilion for sunbathing and snacking, plus playground for the little ones. Another highlight here is The Pride of the Susquehanna, a riverboat offering scenic cruises and sightseeing tours of the Susquehanna River. Don't depart the island without taking in the view of the Harrisburg skyline!
