March 7, 2017 | desouzabrown

On Saturday, March 18, don your green garb and head over to the Harrisburg St. Patrick’s Day Parade. In its inaugural year and hosted by the Harrisburg Downtown Improvement District, the parade will step off at 1 p.m. at Aberdeen and Walnut streets. From there, it will loop around Fourth and Market streets, all the way down Second Street to North Street, where the parade will end. There will be plenty of spots along the parade route to grab the perfect viewing spot!

The parade will be filled with traditional sounds from Celtic groups, beautiful dances from Irish Step Dancing brigades, floats, and so much more. You can also expect a variety of food and tchotchke vendors selling their goods for all to enjoy. Parking might get a little tricky, so make sure you get there early to ensure you get both a parking space and the perfect spot for this exciting event.
