The Bluebird Cafe might be Nashville's most popular music venue. The intimate cafe has been the site of many acoustic concerts where singer-songwriters on their way to fame have performed small shows, playing acoustic versions of their hits and explaining the stories behind the songs. Nashville Unplugged at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts strives to bring the same experience to a larger venue.

On Wednesday, August 16th, Aaron Benward, a well-known songwriter, welcomes other major country music songwriters to the stage at the Whitaker Center to tell the tales of the ballads they've penned for major names. From Tim McGraw's Live Like You Were Dying to I Drive Your Truck by Lee Brice, you'll learn the behind-the-scenes stories of your favorite songs at this unique show. Tickets start at $25.
