Head to the 2017 Harrisburg Kipona Celebration This Weekend

September 1, 2017 | desouzabrown

A highlight of every Labor Day weekend, the annual Harrisburg Kipona Celebration returns to the banks of the Susquehanna River on Sept. 2-4. The festival is a celebration of Native American culture, and it's been a local tradition for over a century.

Highlights of this year's festival will include live music and entertainment on two stages, canoe races, food and drinks (including a wine tent!), art and crafts vendors, and a "children’s village," complete with face painting, a bounce house, and much more. Stick around for fireworks and the centerpiece of the festival, the Native American Pow Wow, a dazzling display of Native American culture.

Best of all, admission to the Kipona Celebration is free and open to the public.
