Taking little ones to typical amusement parks sometimes means splurging on pricey tickets, then only being able to enjoy a handful of rides that allow pint-sized guests. At Dutch Wonderland in nearby Lancaster, everything is geared toward families with small children, so the money you put out for tickets or passes will be dollars well spent.
The Lancaster amusement park boasts more than 30 different kid-friendly rides, the majority of them suitable for even toddlers. Kids have some active fun on Choo Choo Charlie, which has individual train cars powered by tiny hands. Anyone between 30 and 54 inches can zip around turns on the Wonder Whip. If you want to ride along with your little ones, check out one of the adult-friendly rides like the recently unveiled Merlin's Mayhem. This rollercoaster is for slightly older kids (minimum height of 39 inches) and takes riders on a colorful adventure through the theme park to locate Merlin's friend, Mayhem.
