Shop Local, Seasonal Produce (and Listen to Live Music!) at the Farmers’ Market in Hershey
August 16, 2016 | desouzabrown
Vine-ripened tomatoes. Juicy organic peaches. Fresh-pressed apple cider. Free-range meats and cage-free eggs. All-natural bar soaps and lotions. These are just a few of the wholesome, seasonal, and/or handcrafted goods offered for sale during the Farmers' Market in Hershey. Now back for its sixth season, this farmers' market pops up on the grounds of the Cocoa Beanery in Hummelston to bring community members produce and products with a local focus; most items for sale are sourced from purveyors within 25 miles of the market.
There's more to this farmers' market than just shopping, however. Each week, the farmers' market plays host to special events and attractions, from kids' bounce houses and cooking workshops to product demonstrations and complimentary health screenings. Better still, live local music acts entertain the crowds from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every week!
