Boba milk tea has its origins in Taiwan, and about 15 years ago, it was difficult to find it in the U.S. Things are much different now — boba tea, also known as bubble tea, which is characterized by tapioca balls submerged in a milky tea beverage and drawn up through a wide straw — is all the rage, with new boba spots popping up on a regular basis. The new kid on the block is Leaf 'n' Cream, which just opened its doors about a month ago in a spot that's a quick drive from Estrella.

What makes Leaf 'n' Cream different from its competitors? It offers more than just boba tea, for starters. Customers can also order ice cream and French macarons; better yet, you can combine the two for a sundae that you can get topped with cereal. Another aspect that distinguishes this place from others is that it lets customers mix and match their own flavors. Start with either black or green tea as your base, then choose your level of sweetness and the flavor of your tapioca pearls. Finally, decide what flavoring you'd like. This allows for endless combinations! What will you choose?
