Tustin Grille: Locally Sourced, Sustainable Surf and Turf

October 7, 2015 | sack

These days, the farm-to-table concept is nothing new. But seasoned restaurateur Jim Osborn and experienced chef Dudley McMahon manage to breathe new life into the now-common approach at Tustin Grille. It doesn't hurt that the eatery itself is new, having only opened a month ago about a mile and a half from Estrella. But if early reviews are any indication, Tustin Grille made-from-scratch, locally sourced fare isn't going anywhere.

Chef Dudley typically calls upon sustainable and organic farmers for ingredients, most of whom are based near Tustin, too. So you can feel good about what you're eating at Tustin Grille on several different levels. And, of course, the food is pretty tasty as well. Start with the crab and shrimp "martini" or pan-seared pork belly, the move on to a juicy USDA prime steak or Cajun grilled salmon with asparagus and jasmine rice. The surf and turf options are plenty, not to mention a handful of gourmet burgers and salads.
