Downtown Donuts doesn't have to rely on any gimmicks (think doughnuts topped with cereal or bacon) to keep customers coming back. Or, at least it doesn't have to rely on more than one gimmick: its doughnuts come in a bucket. It's easy to stuff them into the bucket, because the mini doughnuts are bite-sized. And they're fresh, hot, and sweet enough to have earned Downtown Donuts a five-star average on Yelp since it opened two months ago about 2.5 miles from Estrella.
Order your doughnuts by the half dozen, whole dozen, or two or three dozen, and then decide what you want on top. The traditional doughnuts come doughy and plain, but you can also request sugar and cinnamon on top or, for an additional 50 cents, dark chocolate or caramel. Add a cup of coffee (iced or hot) to complete your morning treat at Downtown Donuts.
