Hukilau: A Tropical Ambiance in San Jose
September 23, 2014 | sack
Hukilau is the brainchild of three Hawaiian guys who missed the home-style food of their native land. It features dishes you’d find at local cafes on the island, as well as tropical cocktails and Hawaiian music and decor. Appetizers include Spam Musubi – sliced spam, wrapped with rice in a nori roll, Pele’s Buffalo Wings and Kalua Pork & Cheese Quesadilla. Salads feature fresh fare such as Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Salad, and Tofu & Avocado Salad. Several burgers adorn the menu, as well as a Beef Teriyaki Sandwich and a Grilled Mahi Mahi Sandwich. Entrees feature taste pleasers like Spicy Fish Tacos, Grilled Beef Teriyaki, and Loco Moco, a Hawaiian fave with your choice of meat or fish layered on white rice topped with two fried eggs & brown gravy.
