Take in a Performance of “Romeo and Juliet” at Cupertino’s Shakespeare in the Park This Weekend!

July 22, 2015 | sack

Pack lawn chairs or a blanket as well as a picnic dinner this weekend and head to Cupertino's Memorial Park Amphitheater for Shakespeare in the Park, a free event series running through Aug. 2. Performed by professional actors, this event — now in its 32nd year — is known as one of the most prominent free Shakespeare programs in the U.S.

This year, actors will be performing "Romeo and Juliet," one of Shakespeare's most beloved plays. Thirty minutes before the main event, a Green Show is planned, which gives audience members of all ages an introduction to Shakespeare. Because Shakespeare in the Park is free to the public, it gives everyone access to a top-notch cultural performance close to home. Since it unfolds just a mile and a half from Fountain Park, it might be worth it to check it out!
